Will the silver thread areas wear differently from the wool sections over time?

Silk threads sit in the ground of the hi-low construction, where direct foot traffic is lower. Wool carries the raised surface and the main wear load. With periodic rotation and low-suction vacuuming, both fibers age at a comparable rate without the silk areas becoming visibly recessed.

What room sizes and furniture arrangements suit this rug best?

The 9x12 and 10x14 sizes work well in open living or drawing rooms where a large sectional or sofa grouping anchors the center. The radiating pattern benefits from space around the furniture perimeter so the full field remains visible rather than hidden under legs.
