Description

Warm ochre-gold passages scatter across a pale ice-blue ground in broken, irregular clusters, thinning as they spread toward the edges. Vivid magenta-pink marks punctuate the field at irregular intervals, small and isolated against the cooler ground. A single vertical crimson-red drip in the upper left adds an abrupt vertical note to an otherwise lateral composition.

Do the small magenta and crimson marks hold their intensity over time, or do they fade before the larger ochre areas?

All colors in this rug are dyed at the fiber level before knotting. Smaller colored areas do not fade faster than larger ones; fading is determined by dye chemistry and UV exposure, not by surface area. Keeping the rug away from direct sunlight and rotating annually preserves color balance across the full field.

How does the pale ice-blue ground read in a room with warm wood floors and leather furniture?
