Medium-low pile handles regular foot traffic and furniture weight well. The shorter fiber compresses and recovers more readily than a deeper pile, so the surface stays even under consistent use. Vacuuming on low suction without a beater bar lifts the pile periodically and prevents surface fiber from matting. Rotating annually distributes wear evenly.

Warm cognac leather, natural walnut, and terracotta ceramics complement the cool teal ground by providing temperature contrast. The terracotta-red and dusty peach accents within the rug already carry that warmth, so surrounding materials in those tones reinforce the palette without requiring deliberate coordination. Avoid rooms dominated by other strong cool tones, which can make the teal ground recede rather than anchor the space.
