Description

Horizontal lines of rose-pink, terracotta, golden ochre, dusty mauve, off-white, and crimson-red run continuously across a deep graphite ground, each colour stripe varying in width and intensity from row to row. No two adjacent rows carry the same colour sequence. Up close, the bamboo silk component lifts the coloured lines against the darker wool ground, giving each stripe a raised, slightly luminous quality.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

Regular vacuuming on low suction without a beater bar maintains the pile without affecting colour. Rotating every 12 months distributes wear evenly across the full striped surface.

What size suits a large open living room with a low white sectional and a dark wood coffee table?

A 10x14 suits this arrangement well, bringing the full sectional and coffee table within the field while the horizontal stripe pattern reads continuously across the floor plane. Does the bamboo silk in the coloured lines require different care from the wool ground?
