Description

Teal-green, aqua, and warm sand-beige run in continuous horizontal rows across the full field, each colour stripe varying in width and intensity from row to row. The ground reads as a pale natural-beige at distance, with the teal and aqua lines surfacing through it at irregular intervals. Up close, the bamboo silk carries the cooler teal rows, lifting them with a faint sheen against the wool sand ground.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

How does the teal and beige stripe sequence hold its colour balance as the rug wears over time?

Both the teal bamboo silk rows and the beige wool rows are dyed at the fibre level before knotting, so the colour relationship between them remains stable as the pile compresses with regular use. Neither material fades faster than the other under normal indoor conditions. Rotating every 12 months distributes foot traffic evenly across the full stripe sequence.

What size and placement works best for a sofa and two accent chair arrangement in a large open living room?

A 10x14 suits this arrangement well in a large concrete-floored space, bringing the sofa and both chairs within the field while the coffee table sits centrally. The borderless full-width stripe pattern reads strongest at larger sizes, where the horizontal rows can complete their full run beneath the furniture group without cropping.

Does the bamboo silk in the teal rows require different vacuuming technique than the wool beige rows?

Vacuum in the direction of the horizontal stripes rather than across them to avoid snagging the raised bamboo silk rows. Use low suction without a beater bar. Back-and-forth passes across the stripes can distort the bamboo rows over time. Move with the pile direction in a single pass, lifting the vacuum head at each end rather than reversing over the same row.
