An ivory-cream field carries a basketweave grid of short parallel strokes in warm grey, each square block rotated 90 degrees from its neighbor to build the interlocking pattern. Does a high-pile blended fibre rug require different care from a standard wool rug?

High-pile blended fibre rugs benefit from slightly more frequent vacuuming, as the longer pile can trap fine debris deeper in the stack. Use low suction without a beater bar, and vacuum in the pile direction. The blended construction may also produce some shedding in the first few weeks of use, which reduces with regular vacuuming.

How do I size this rug correctly for a curved sofa arrangement like the one shown?

For a curved or arc-shaped sofa, size the rug so the front of the sofa sits fully on the field with at least 18 inches of rug visible beyond the sofa's furthest point. A 9x12 works for most curved three-seat configurations; a 10x14 gives more generous clearance and keeps the borderless field visible around the full seating group.

Will the ivory ground in a high-pile rug show soiling more quickly than a lower pile version would?
