Description

An off-white ground carries a dense, all-over repeat of interlocking triangles drawn in dark charcoal-grey. Each triangle outline is rendered in broken, hand-drawn strokes rather than clean lines, so the pattern holds geometric structure while the edges stay irregular. The blended fibre pile sits high and textured, with the charcoal motifs receding into a slightly lower register against the raised ivory ground.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

How does the blended fibre construction hold the geometric pattern over time under regular use?

The different fibres within each knot compress at slightly different rates, which can give the motif edges a subtle softening with use. This is characteristic of blended fibre construction rather than a defect. Regular low-suction vacuuming keeps the pile upright and the pattern reading clearly. Rotating the rug annually distributes compression evenly across the full repeat.

Does the off-white ground show marks or everyday soiling more than a darker ground rug?

A pale ground will show debris more readily than a dark or mixed-tone surface. Routine vacuuming on low suction manages everyday dust effectively. Spills should be blotted immediately with a clean dry cloth. For the off-white pile specifically, professional cleaning once a year keeps the ground reading clearly and prevents gradual discolouration from building up.

What furniture arrangement works best with this all-over geometric pattern?

The borderless, non-directional repeat works well in any orientation. For a living room with a sofa and two accent chairs, the 9x12 anchors the arrangement with front legs resting on the rug.
