The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

How well does an all-wool hand-knotted rug hold up in a dining room with regular chair movement?

All-wool construction at this pile density handles regular chair movement well. The close, flat pile resists snagging from chair legs better than a high-pile surface. Using felt pads under chair legs reduces friction wear on the motif outlines over time and extends the surface's sharpness.

Does the deep brown field show dust or debris more than a lighter ground rug?

Dark grounds do show light-colored debris such as dust and pet hair more visibly than pale ones. Regular low-suction vacuuming twice a week keeps the espresso-brown field reading cleanly. The dense botanical pattern across the field also distributes visual attention, which reduces the appearance of surface debris between vacuum sessions.

Can this rug be used in a runner or round format without losing the pattern logic?

The botanical field design adapts to round and runner formats through careful pattern editing at the cutting stage. The border is maintained in all formats.
