Description

Large ogee forms tile across a soft sky-blue and cream ground in a borderless allover repeat, each cell carrying a four-petal rosette in warm sand-beige and taupe-brown. Steel teal outlines the primary ogee frame, with pale chartreuse-yellow and muted warm brown filling the secondary forms between. The pile sits medium, the wool dense and close across the full surface. Made in India

A note on the dye

Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.
