How does a wool and bamboo silk blend perform differently from an all-wool rug in regular use?

Wool provides resilience and compression recovery. Bamboo silk adds a cooler hand and a soft surface sheen, but requires more care than wool alone. Bamboo silk fibres are more sensitive to moisture and abrasion, so blotting spills immediately and avoiding harsh scrubbing is important. Professional cleaning is recommended annually rather than attempting home wet-cleaning.

What size suits a large open living room with a full L-shaped sofa arrangement?

Does bamboo silk in a rug shed or pill with regular vacuuming?
