Does the contrast between the orange-red and blue-grey motifs make this rug difficult to place in a room?

Not in practice. Both color groups sit against a warm camel ground that absorbs the contrast. The muted, abrash-affected surface takes the edge off both tones. Rooms with natural stone, warm wood, or linen upholstery in beige or off-white tend to work well with this palette.

How does a medium-low pile hold up in a dining room with regular chair movement?
