Description

Small allover floral forms scatter across a frosted sky-blue ground, each motif rendered in off-white, warm tan, and slate grey without a central focal point. A frosted sky border carries a denser floral-and-vine register in the same restrained palette. Up close, the wool pile shows clean separation between the cool blue ground and the ivory and grey-brown motif work throughout. Made in India

A note on the dye

Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

On scale

Bring the room into the rug - never the other way around.

A rug is sized to read once, in full, as you walk past it. The longer sizes tell a different story across a whole room.

Asked & answered

Questions you'd want to ask.

Plain answers about the wool, the loom, and what the rug does over years of use.

Frostbloom · the asked & answered
How does an allover floral wool rug maintain pattern clarity in a living room with regular foot traffic?

Hand-knotted construction anchors each motif at the knot level into the foundation, so pattern edges hold their definition as the pile compresses over time. The medium pile height distributes wear evenly across the full surface. Rotating the rug every 12 months prevents any single zone from softening faster than the rest.

What size and furniture placement works best for a living room with a sofa and single accent chair?

An 8x10 fits a sofa and accent chair arrangement with front legs on the surface and the coffee table sitting fully within the field. For a drawing room with a more complete seating group, a 9x12 brings all furniture into the composition and allows the allover pattern to read across its full span without cropping.

Does the frosted sky-blue ground show everyday dust and pet hair noticeably?

Light-to-mid tone grounds like frosted sky sit in a range that handles everyday dust reasonably well. Pet hair on pale grounds is more visible than on darker surfaces. Vacuuming on low suction twice a week in high-use areas keeps the surface clear. For liquid spills, blot immediately with a dry cloth and allow to air dry fully before returning furniture to position.
