Description

Warm camel, the dominant tone, carries a large-scale traditional field of vining florals and angular medallion forms, all worn back through distressing until motif edges soften into the ground. Pale steel-blue appears in the field motifs and border fill. Dark brown traces the vine stems and inner border lines. The surface reads close and matte, with abrash visible across the field.

Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

How does the silk content affect the surface appearance of this rug over time?

Silk fibres reflect more light than wool, giving the surface a subtle variation in sheen as the pile direction shifts. With regular low-suction vacuuming, the wool-silk blend maintains its surface character; silk content also adds natural resilience to the pile.

What room size and furniture arrangement suit this rug best?
