Description

A near-black graphite ground carries three stacked medallion forms in ivory-white, their scalloped edges enclosing dense fields of small floral figures in brick-red, powder-blue, amber-gold, and sage-green. The medallion framework dominates the field, while an ivory-cream border with warm sand and blue geometric units holds the perimeter. Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.
