Description

Gestural marks, rectangular blocks, fine scratched lines, and circular forms scatter across a pale cream-white field in dusty rose-pink, warm olive-gold, and dark charcoal-grey. The hi-low construction lifts the charcoal and olive-gold sections above the pale ground, separating the marks from the field through physical elevation rather than color contrast alone. No border, no axis, no repeat.

Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.
