A deep navy ground carries the all-over geometric lattice in burnt orange outlines, its interlocking compartments filled with florets in sage green, teal blue, amber gold, and dusty coral. Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

Does a dark navy ground show lint or pet hair more visibly than a lighter rug?

Dark grounds pick up light-colored debris more visibly than mid-toned rugs. Regular vacuuming on low suction manages this effectively. A lint roller or soft brush works well between vacuum sessions for pet hair. Rotating the rug annually also distributes surface exposure evenly.
