Description

A powder-blue ground holds a large stepped medallion at center, its nested forms built from brick-red and deep navy in angular layers, with a warm amber-gold inner field carrying small geometric fills. The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.

The precision of the medallion's layered rings reflects the weaver's familiarity with the pattern rather than the difficulty of the form itself.

This rug has a strong central focal point. How should furniture be arranged around it?

A sofa or primary seating placed parallel to the medallion's long axis with front legs on the rug allows the medallion to remain fully visible between the furniture grouping.
