Description

Warm parchment ivory fills the field, carrying an all-over scrolling vine with palmettes, paisley forms, and open florals in golden ochre, sage green, dusty blue-grey, and deep charcoal-black. The border grounds the composition in near-black navy, dense with rosettes and scrollwork. Pile reads medium, even across the surface.

Madder root, soaked five days, simmered three.

The red you see in the field is not one red. It is seven dye lots, each pulled at a slightly different hour from the same copper vat,the variation lives only in the wool, never in the recipe.
